                                        D is for dog whelk



Also called the dogwinkle this creature feeds by boring though the shells of prey then sucking out the tissue.This creature is no bigger than your fingertip!!

The nautilus and its now extinct relative ammonite ,were once one of the most successful groups of animals found in the world's ocean.they have been on earth for 500 years!


                                             F is for forest shield bug


This common species occurs in natural forests.it is associated with oak trees but can become a pest in orchards. they eat plant juice and smaller insects.
