Octopuses

Octopuses eat crabs, lobsters and molluscs.They have good eyesight and stalk their prey, hiding then pouncing on their victim. They often swim above their prey then fall onto it,using their body like a net.

The nile crocodile

This croc feeds on fish,as well as larger animals including zebras and antelopes.It pulls big prey into the water, then spins around and around to tear chunks off that it can swallow.

Chameleons

A large and colourful species,chameleons can change colour-females do this only when they are pregnant to signal they will not mate,but males flush any combination of red,blue or green depending on their mood.

Sensory organs in the leopard shark's nose allow it to find and pull out prey buried in deep mud. The shark's striking body parttern make it popular with some fishermen.

The cheetah

The cheetah is famous for it's speed.It is the fastest land animal,but can keep going for just 10 to 20 seconds.It is a sociable cat. Young cheetahs stay with their mother for up to two years.Boys may stay together for several years

Garden snails

This snail has a thin shell with four or five spirals.When it's resting or threatened,it retracts inside.

The head has four tentacles, with eyes in the top two.I have found lots of snails in my back yard,all with colourful shells

My Pet Fish

I have two pet fish. We used to have three. We have two now because one of them died. His name was Blackie. The Goldfish is 'Goldie'. The colourful fish is 'Colours'.
They are nearly one year old. They like to chase each other around the tank. They fight over their food.

My kitten Kenny.

My kitten Kenny is white.She is deaf,most white cats and dogs are deaf. She got lost for three weeks. I missed her.

Our older cat spice doesn't like her much but I love her.

I have called Spice, she is a tortoise shell.
Tortoise shell cats are always female.
Cats have nine lives, Spice has six left because she got hopped off the wall, she was in the tumble dryer and then she was in the engine of the car. Poor Spice.
